Our client is a leading manufacturer of primary diagnostic devices, a thriving family-owned business with a clear ambition for healthy long-term growth. More than 500 employees are working very closely with the end-users of their products to develop, produce and sell medical devices that last. Understanding the doctors´ use cases and putting quality first has always been at the heart of this innovative company. Our client is targeting 4 major user groups with its products: ophthalmologists, anesthetists, general practitioners, dermatologists. The company is still fully family owned and financially independent. In its strive for growth in its key markets we are looking for an Area Sales Manager (all genders) to drive the business growth in the BeNeLux region, as the area is part of its top 25 regions. The role reports to the Sales Director EMEA.

Your Main Tasks   

  • Supervising the distribution network through regular visits and joint sales calls
  • Looking for strategic ways to enter, grow and boost the public hospital segment
  • Coordinating sales activities through follow-up of agreed action plan for partners/distributors
  • Idea generation for sales promotions including preparation of action plan
  • Controlling the sales and promotional activities budget for the area
  • Assessment and evaluation of market trends
  • Compiling advanced competitive analysis
  • Support and directly interact with top accounts
  • Maximize effectiveness of sales partners through coaching and co-visiting
  • Establish the client as a premium brand in the relevant market segments, especially public hospitals
  • Optimize market coverage and penetration by understanding and developing specific activities to maximize effectiveness of major sales channels

Your Profile   

  • Preferably a degree in Business (Bachelor or higher)
  • 7+ years of experience in sales in life sciences
  • Strong background in distributor management and (trade) marketing
  • Leadership / team management experience
  • International experience (organization, sales responsibility)
  • Experience in B2B sales management (channel sales)
  • Authentic team leader and manager
  • Passionate about quality and client relationships
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, French language skills are an advantage
  • Strong service mind-set and solution focus
