In its ambition to finetune and harmonize the commercial processes on a global level, the client is looking for a Head of Commercial Excellence (all genders) to initiate and drive the ambitious internal program.


Your responsibilities


  • Lead the Commercial Excellence team of the global Business Unit
  • Ensure that all changes and improvements have our customers best interest in mind reinforcing customer centricity
  • Drive the commercial excellence program agenda across the global Business Unit
  • Define strategies and execute programs to ensure commercial excellence
  • Align and ensure delivery of the commercial excellence program, particularly within sales team and management stakeholders
  • Implement measures to increase sales efficiency in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Continuously identify and develop new commercial processes as well as improve current practices to increase sales efficiency
  • Ensure consistency of the commercial approach, including: commercial organization, customer segmentation, commercial & pricing policies, forecasting capabilities, implementation of commercial best rules, sales force engagement, multichannel sales and digital sales
  • Plan and execute projects with a structured approach to follow through and reach agreed upon milestones
  • Ensure that accurate financial data is provided to assess profitability of offers, challenge price models in close cooperation with finance and product management and operations
  • Structure complex problems and ensure excellent handling of numbers and analysis within your team


Your profile


  • A degree in Business, Industrial Engineering or similar field (Master or higher)
  • 10 years of experience and a successful track record in managing complex processes and projects in a global/intercultural team in a B2B environment
  • Strong background in promoting and selling technical products and solutions B2B
  • Proactive team leader; experience in successfully leading and developing a team
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual and organizational skills
  • Excellent business skills (pricing/margins etc.)
  • Fluent in English, advanced knowledge in German is a plus
  • International experience (organization, sales responsibility) in pharmaceutical environments
  • Agile mindset and experience
