Job Description
Marketing Strategy & Business Development:
- Provide quarterly strategic direction on Marketing Plans for company, specifically focusing on key Customer Acquisition initiatives
- Manage through-the-line marketing plan with internal team and external partners
- Focus on ROI-based marketing plans & strategies and ensure all activities are aligned to meet business goals
- Work with the company CCO on developing the above as well as other Business Development strategies
Marketing Planning & Messaging:
- Manage marketing planning for the companies key initiatives - included but not limited to the below elements:
- Messaging (work collaboratively with Creative Head)
- ATL Media selection
- Digital media excellence & best practice
- Digital media planning
- Digital media ROI
- Overall Best practice guidance
- Supplier negotiations & contracts
Team Mentorship:
- Provide Mentorship & guidance to the various senior marketing managers & team members (6 direct reports, overall team of 20)
- Work collaboratively with Group Creative Head on key projects and drive prioritization of creative work
Skills Required:
- Must have B2C marketing knowledge and experience.
- Must have a deep understanding of the LOBs they support - including knowledge of products, revenue drivers, competition and differentiators in the market.
- Must exhibit leadership in all forums
Experience Required:
- Minimum 10 years working experience in marketing or advertising industry
- Experience in leading and guiding a diverse team of people
- Team leadership and ability to provide business understanding is more critical than deep marketing specialization skills
- Ability to provide and challenge thought leadership in marketing space
- Digital-first marketing approach
- Project management ability is key
Salary Range:
R1.2M - R1.5M
