They are looking for a Business Development Manager Battery Systems for this newly created position reporting to the Managing Director in Germany. . Sector: Automotive, Batteries/Accumulators Location: Munich or home office across Europe Your Responsibilities Identify growth opportunities with new clients, drive customer acquisition and revenue growth Develop and implement market entry and growth strategies with special focus on product positioning with European automotive OEMs Perform competitive and market analyses and define target audiences Develop the strategy leading to successful international market development and coordinate the relevant product and marketing activities Build market share through targeted activities to increase brand awareness and preference in target regions Interface with R&D, Manufacturing and Supply Chain in the Japanese HQ to ensure optimal flow of information within the product development process Act as the primary contact for potential customers during contract negotiations and closing deals for long-term partnerships Participate in trade shows Your Profile A degree in engineering or technical field as well as relevant commercial qualifications In-depth sales/business development experience in a manufacturing company within the automotive industry An active network within the European OEM sector A structured, sustainable and goal-oriented business development approach that underpins your strong closing skills Experience with hybrid/electric vehicles and/or battery/accumulator technologies would be a distinct advantage Intercultural experience – if you have worked with Japan before that would be another advantage Excellent English; German and/or Japanese would be (very) nice to have Willingness to travel Our Client Offers An international, mid-sized working environment with significant remote working options A collegial and team-oriented working atmosphere where decisions are taken quickly and effectively An attractive compensation package and a company car for private use if desired Contact Us We look forward to receiving your online application (including any references or certificates), stating your salary expectations. Your Profile In-depth relevant professional experience in accounting within complex, international organisations. Solid experience in financial consolidation (+/- $1 billion turnover), reporting, and strategic financial management. In-depth knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Management experience with the ability to lead a small team (by example!) and drive continuous improvement. Track record of involvement in M&A processes and integrating disparate financial systems. Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking to support business decisions. Degree in Finance & Accountancy plus an ACCA qualification Experience of UK FRIS, or alternatively UK GAAP, and IFRS Experience with SAP and familiarity with ERP systems Fluent written and spoken English combined with cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills will ensure success in this key role.
